Effect:	Summons one Mephit of the desired type.

This spell summons a Mephit.  You designate which type you wish to summon during the casting of the spell.  The Material component is 3 cubic feet of material matching the type of Mephit desired.  The summoned creature is under no compulsion to obey any commands or submit to any demands made by the caster.  The Mephit is free to leave whenever it desires.

The caster can make a bargain with the Mephit to convince it to stay or force it to stay with the proper spell.  Each Mephit is unique and some of them will stay with a character that they find interesting or for the promise of some desired item.  Charismatic casters may even convince the Mephit to accompany them as companions.  If the caster has the Leadership feat, the Mephit may become a Cohort of the character.
