The Order of Dust is a special priesthood that follows the goddess Kalivasha. They are unlike other priesthoods in that they gain special divine power as they go up in levels other than spells. The Order of Dust is given great power from their goddess. They are an exclusive group and all initiates are hand picked by a member of their Order. The Duskbrothers give the Order of Dust anything they ask for. A Dustbrother should even be willing to lay down his life to protect a member of the Order of Dust. Unlike the Duskbrothers, the Order of Dust has a rigid hierarchy. The greatest of the Order are called Hands of Fate. The Hands of Fate are seldom seen by anyone outside of their Order.
The Order of Dust also has a handful of mountain strongholds. These fortresses are in remote areas of the world and are protected by the [ash.php Order of Ash]. Adventuring groups that happen across these remote fortresses are never seen again. The Hands of Fate are rumored to have great treasures hidden within these halls. The city of Araxanium is the home of the only known stronghold of Kalivasha. The town is under the protection of the Order and no kingdom lies claim to the city.
Kalivasha demands that her priests follow a strict code:
- Any undead encountered "in the wild" are to be destroyed at all costs. They are abominations and they do not deserve to continue.
- Members of the Order may not create undead without the blessing of a Hand. Such actions are to be reserved for those who have transgressed against the Goddess or her chosen.
- Members of the Order may only heal wounds received unnaturally. Battle wounds and the like are all to be healed with nonmagical means. Natural wounds and diseases are to run their course. Death is the consummation of life and it should not be feared.
- Beings living by unnatural means must be destroyed.
- The Order of Ash is to receive whatever aid the Order of Dust has to give.

Spells: An Order of Dust member casts divine spells which are drawn from the Cleric spell list. The Order of Dust must choose and prepare her spells in advance.
To prepare or cast a spell, an Order of Dust must have a Wisdom score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against an Order of Dust’s spell is 10 + the spell level + the Order of Dust’s Wisdom modifier.
Like other spellcasters, a Order of Dust can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. She receives bonus spells per day if she has a high Wisdom score.
Order of Dusts meditate or pray for their spells. Each Order of Dust must choose a time at which she must spend 1 hour each day in quiet contemplation or supplication to regain her daily allotment of spells. Time spent resting has no effect on whether a Order of Dust can prepare spells. A Order of Dust may prepare and cast any spell on the Cleric spell list, provided that she can cast spells of that level, but she must choose which spells to prepare during her daily meditation. Members of the Order of Dust typically pray for spells at twilight.
Domains: An Order of Dust chooses three domains from among those available from Kalivasha. Each domain grants a number of domain powers, dependent upon the level of the Order of Dust, as well as a number of bonus spells. A Order of Dust gains one domain spell slot for each level of Order of Dust spell she can cast, from 1st on up. Each day, a Order of Dust can prepare one of the spells from her three domains in that slot. If a domain spell is not on the Order of Dust spell list, a Order of Dust can prepare it only in her domain spell slot. Domain spells cannot be used to cast spells spontaneously.
In addition, a Order of Dust gains the listed powers from all three of her domains, if she is of a high enough level. Unless otherwise noted, activating a domain power is a standard action.
Orisons: Order of Dusts can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells, each day, as noted on Table: Cleric under “Spells per day.” These spells are treated like any other spell, but they are not expended when cast and may be used again.
Spontaneous Casting: An Order of Dust member can convert prepared spells to inflict spells (an inflict spell is one with “inflict” in its name).
Bonus Languages: A Order of Dust’s bonus language options include Celestial, Abyssal, and Infernal (the languages of good, chaotic evil, and lawful evil outsiders, respectively). These choices are in addition to the bonus languages available to the character because of her race.
Deathwatch: The Order of Dust has the ability to see the status of creatures within their sight. This ability is always active and acts just as the spell Deathwatch.
Dust Mephit Companion: At 10th level, the Order of Dust members are granted the service of a Dust Mephit. Kalivasha uses the Dust Mephits as handmaidens and allows her priesthood to befriend one as a companion. These Mephits are not controlled by the members of the Order but are instead inclined to befriend them. These Mephits follow the rules for Familiars for progression and abilities. If the Mephit is destroyed or dismissed, another Mephit can be called to replace it after one month.
Dust Form: Members of the Order have the ability to take the form of a living cloud of dust. The cloud flows across the ground like smoke and can flow between cracks or under doors. The priest may stay in this form up to 2 hours per day.
Goddess Blessing: This is the greatest ability granted by Kalivasha. The Hand of Fate focuses the pure power of the goddess into a pool of water. The water becomes sanctified and carries the essence of Death. This water is deadly to the touch and is a poison that is instantly fatal to those unfaithful to the goddess. These pools are guarded by all the resources of the Order of Dust and the Order of Ash. The pools are almost always found only in the Order's Fortresses.
