Ulupi are a martial race who train from a very young age in the arts of war. They are distrustful of other races and are considered the strong arm of the Naga race. The great soldier race of The Empire, the Ulupi have breed courage and great strength into their bloodlines.

Unlike lizardmen, these warriors use sophisticated combat techniques and are known as efficient war leaders throughout the realm. Seldom do they ever leave the structured ranks of The Empire, but adult Ulupi have been known to wander far from others of their race on solo quests. Their natural animosity towards "lesser" examples of their species has let them to decimate entire tribes of lizardfolk.

Ulupi are usually 6 to 7 feet tall with green, gray, or brown scales. Its tail is used for balance and is 3 to 4 feet long. A Ulupi can weigh from 200 to 250 pounds.

Ability Score Modifiers: +2 Str, +2 Con

Base Speed: Ulupi have a base land and swim speed of 30 feet.

Natural Attacks: 2 Claw (1d4) primary, Bite (1d3) secondary

Darkvision (Ex): Ulupi can see in the dark up to 60 feet.

Iron Lungs (Ex): Ulupi can hold their breath up to four times their Constitution score before suffering the effects of suffocation or drowning.

Natural Armor (Ex): The thick scales covering a Ulupi's body gives them a +1 Natural Armor bonus to Armor Class.

Powerful Swimmer (Ex): Ulupi gain a +8 racial bonus to their Swim check. They can take 10 on any swim check.

Rend (Ex) If it hits with two or more claw attacks in 1 round, an Ulupi can cause tremendous damage by latching onto the opponent’s body and tearing flesh. This attack deals an additional 2d6 plus 1-1/2 the Ulupi’s Strength bonus damage, but no more than once per round.

Wyrmscorge (Ex): Ulupi gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and on saving throws against the extraordinary, supernatural, and spell-like abilities of dragons. In addition, they gain a +2 racial bonus on Knowledge (arcana) checks to identify dragons and can make such checks untrained.

Weapon Familiarity: Ulupi are proficient with Spears and all simple weapons. They are proficient in Light Armor and with all Shields except Tower Shields.

Languages: Ulupi begin play speaking only Naga. Ulupi with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Aquan, Common, Dwarven, Elven, and Giant.
