Umbral Citadel
Even within the Shadowlands, there exists a place so dark from which no light escapes. Home of The Unnamed One, the Umbral Citadel is where all souls who worship no god are drawn. The Citadel is said to exist simultaneously in multiple worlds, only partially existing in the Shadowlands as well as a forgotten level of the Abyss. Umbral Dragons, savage undead, and rogue daemons can be seen roaming the lands around the Shadowlands hunting for wayward souls to offer up to the dark master of the Citadel.
The fate of souls drawn within the citadel is known only to the Dark God and his servants. After souls have entered the gates of the Citadel, not even a wish or miracle can raise the character from the dead. Legends tell of a few souls who were released from the Citadel in response to dark quests or immense sacrifices devoted to The Unnamed One. Any soul returned to life retains no knowledge of its existence within the Citadel and often retains some touch of the grave.
The Dark Throne
Rumored to be created from a dark stone that reflects no light, this is the seat of power of The Unnamed One. Little is known about what happens before the throne but powerful Daemons have said all bow before the One. Beside the throne stands a much smaller throne made of bone. Seated upon this throne is The Black Seed.
The current Black Seed, Siriki, seldom leaves the side of the throne. The Unnamed One sends other messengers to do his tasks before sending Siriki. The Black Seed leaving the Citadel is a cause of much regard within the Shadowlands.
The Void
Within the walls of the Citadel, a portal to the Void lies open. Little is known about the purpose The Unnamed One uses the portal. The souls of those who worship no god are believed to be thrown into the portal to be forever destroyed. Nightshades are thought to guard the portal to keep interlopers at bay.
Twilight Dragon
Deep in the bowels of the Citadel is the chamber of the Twilight Dragon. Whatever treasures it possesses lays lost in the black depths of the Citadel. The Twilight Dragon is immortal as long as it makes its home in the Umbral Citadel, with the citadel itself acting as its phylactery as if it were undead.
Daemons
Harbingers of ruin, daemons share the same dislike of life and hatred for all existence as The Unnamed One. They are found near the Umbral Citadel as allies of the Unnamed One and often serve him. Whatever agreement The Unnamed One has with the Daemon lords, he allows daemons to roam the area around the Citadel. Their constant participation in the Soul Trade makes the Shadowlands the perfect place for them to wander.
