Halflings have been nearly annihilated from Traykon. Only one group of Halflings still exist in the world as a community. In the Northern Steppes, a hearty group of halflings compete for territory and food with the larger and stronger orcs and humans. These halflings have befriended the terrors of the plains, the wolf. These Wolf Riders use speed and agility to compete with the humans numbers and the orcs strength.

There are no Halfling subraces in Traykon. All Halflings have the following racial traits:

  • +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, –2 Strength
  • Small: Halflings are Small creatures and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their Combat Maneuver Bonus (CMB) and Combat Maneuver Defense (CMD), and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
  • Slow Speed: Halflings have a base speed of 20 feet.
  • Fearless: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on all saving throws against fear. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by halfling luck.
  • Halfling Luck: Halflings receive a +1 racial bonus on all saving throws.
  • Keen Senses: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception skill checks.
  • Mounted Warriors: Halflings recieve a +2 racial bonus to their Ride and Handle Animal skill checks. They gain Mounted Combat as a bonus feat.
  • Sure-Footed: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on Acrobatics and Climb skill checks.
  • Weapon Familiarity: Halflings are proficient with slings and treat any weapon with the word “halfling” in its name as a martial weapon.
  • Languages: Halflings begin play speaking Common. Halflings with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Goblin, and Orc.

Halflings no longer exist in The Empire. Genocide has removed them from the continent. The Snow Elves lament this loss but all other races under the thumb of The Empire are too worried about their own continued existence that they have not even paused to think about the loss. Should the forces of The Empire ever encounter a Halfling, they would use their considerable power to destroy any vestige of the race.
